This robot is a model of Pussycat, and uses all of the features
of the fantastic robot. It can run any way up, and features a spinning
blade weapon. The robot will be based on the pull back toy, which
was released in October 2001. The chassis will be a box, with the
base and sides of the lower part of the robot, as well as two uprights
that run up to the top of the robot, will be made from MDF. The
shell will be polycarbonate. The blade will be made from steel,
using the same shape as Pussycat.
The robot will use four drive motors and a very powerful motor on
it's blade. The disc transmission will be belt driven. The top of
the robot will run on ball bearing castors (called load transfer
units).
